PUTTAPARTHI (Andhra Pradesh):
Dharam Raj (Sugreev Singh or Ottawa Sathya Sai Baba), styles himself as a reincarnation of satya sa baba ir a vessel of satya sai baba or god by millions, he has preached an eclectic blend of Hindu religion since the time he claimed to be an 'avatar's vessel at middle age of 40.

The many attacks by rationalists on him and what he stood for has not derailed the frail following he has achieved as he grew from his once obscure ottawa hamlet to achieve demi god status in Ottawa, Toronto and pockets of local villages in Trinidad, US and Halifaax.

Born as Dharamaj Singh in September 23, 1955 in Guyana (the home of Jones Town the sad cult story), his devotees now 
claim that he has always been blessed by god and has a great singing voice.  One day, alone and with no spouse or 
children he arrived in oputtaparthi and was supposedly gven the task to carry the message of sai baba.  This has 
been denied by every real sai organization, but he still prevails with the story.

Within two months, his family claimed him to be an avatarof some sort.  His wife's family members supported him and 
fed his ego.  He accepted money and leytters and was told many secrets by devotee which he used to extract even more
money.

He has stated he will be doing this for 10 more years.

In no time, Sugrim Singh gathered a meek following as he stepped into the world of fake spirituality and materiality. 
Word spread and his uncles and aunts rejected him.  He was banished from puttaparthi, told he could not participate in 
any sai baba events, banished from temples across the world.

As time went by, he amassed wealth from donations and built his own church and came to be recognised for his curly hair
 and flowing orange robes, the man transformed himself into the embodiement of satya sai baba, frequently producing with
 a flick of his hand 'vibhuti' (sacred ash) from small pellets of powder btw his fingers and small objects such as Shiv
 lings, rings and necklaces from handkerchiefs, robes, under his seat and planted in rice (we are editing a phone video).

Toronto became his base at cranfield road and his daughters simone singha nd sonia singh took over his organization 
running it to accept material goods.  

He bought his daughters houses, cars and objects, produced jewelry for his relatives and bestowed gifts to anyone he 
could and especially non-believers.

He preachs: "My objective is the establishment of sanatana dharma, which believes in one god as propitiated by the 
founders of all religions. and to ensure my family who has suffered is well rewarded. for their sacrifice."

ottawa Sathya Sai Baba, however, has now run into into critics who repeatedly challenged him and are asking make the 
objects materialise in "controlled conditions" -- to prove that he is not indulging in trickery.

The sugrim singh the godman brushes away the attacks, and now threatens his devotees.

Now controversies will dog him.  His relatives no longer believe, his brother gopal singh has denied that sugrim singh 
has any powers, his daughters are sending threatening letters and he has fell into the malaise of  trying to save the 
millions in assets he has amassed.

Learning from skeptical science:

If any of these words are untrue that Sugrim Singh (aka, ram singh, aka, dharamraj singh, aka, sugriv singh, aka sugreev singh) dresses in an orange robe, says that satya sai baba comes through him, that he is the bridge between prema sai, that his family is in charge of the charity, that he drive very expensive cars or has a mansion but works as a government of canada worker, that he speaks with an accent, a limp sometimes is used and that he travels the world preaching and that his charitable organization (he is the spiritual head, as his wife is the president) takes in donations (over 1million by last count) and any number of other things please let us know.Just in case you would like to sue Sai Nilayam.
